Shotfirer (QLD)
Education and Training:
You can work as a shotfirer without formal qualifications, but employers usually require at least Year 10. You will probably get some informal training on the job.

Employment Opportunities:
Shotfirers are mainly employed by drilling and blasting contractors. Although mining companies, quarries, civil engineering and road construction firms require shotfirers, this is often contracted out to specialist companies.
