Graphic Prepress Tradesperson (VIC)

Education and Training:

To become a graphic prepress tradesperson you usually have to complete an apprenticeship or traineeship in Printing and Graphic Arts (Graphic Pre-Press). Entry requirements may vary but employers usually require Year 10. Ask your career adviser about the possibility of starting some of this training in school.

Graphic prepress tradespeople are employed by newspapers and printing firms. Technological development has been rapid in this trade with widespread application of computerised systems. Tradespeople familiar with the new techniques and technology are in greater demand.
