Gaming Worker (VIC)
Education and Training:
You can work as a gaming worker without formal qualifications, but employers usually require at least Year 10. You will probably get some informal training on the job.
You can also become a gaming worker through a traineeship in Hospitality. Entry requirements may vary but employers usually require Year 10. Ask your career adviser about the possibility of starting some of this training in school.
Additional Information:
Most people working in the gaming area are required to be licensed. Licensing requirements may include a police check, credit references and fingerprinting. You must also complete a Responsible Service of Gaming Certificate, which may either be incorporated into staff training or have to be completed separately.

Employment Opportunities:
Crown Casino runs its own training courses when new croupiers are required. Trainee croupiers are instructed in gaming rules and basic chipping and shuffling skills.
