Dental Technician (QLD)

State/Territory Specific Information

Education and Training:

To become a dental technician you usually have to complete a diploma or degree in dental technology. Entry to the diploma course below usually requires Year 12. Entry to the degree course below usually requires Year 12 with English, and one or more of biology, chemistry, physics or mathematics. Contact the institutions you are interested in for further information as requirements may change.

You can also become a dental technician through a traineeship in Dental Technology. Entry requirements may vary, but employers generally require Year 10. Ask your career adviser about the possibility of starting some of this training in school.
