Electrical Engineering Associate (TAS)
Education and Training:
To become an electrical engineering associate you usually have to complete a diploma in electrical engineering. Entry to the course below usually requires Year 11 or Year 12 with mathematics, English and science. Contact the institution for full details.

Employment Opportunities:
Federal, state and territory government departments, private manufacturing organisations and suppliers of electrical and power electronic equipment employ electrical engineering associates, as do the mining and processing, and paper and chemical industries, and vehicle manufacturers.
Electrical engineering associates work on-site or in offices, in technical laboratories or workshops, power stations and control centres.
The demand for electrical engineering associates is dependent on activity levels in the electricity, construction and manufacturing sectors. It is a small occupation with reasonable employment opportunities.
