Toxicologist (VIC)
Education and Training:
To become a toxicologist you usually have to study science or forensics at university with a major in toxicology. To get into these courses you usually need to gain your VCE. Prerequisite subjects, or assumed knowledge, in one or more of English, physics, chemistry, earth and environmental science, biology and mathematics are normally required. A number of universities in Australia offer degrees in science with a major in toxicology. Universities have different prerequisites and some have flexible entry requirements or offer external study.
