Education and Training:

To become a management consultant you usually have to study commerce, business or business administration at university with a major in management, entrepreneurship or human resources. You could also consider courses with majors in business management, human resource management or economics. To get into these courses you usually need to gain your HSC/ACT Year 12. Prerequisite subjects, or assumed knowledge, in one or more of English and mathematics are normally required. Most universities in Australia offer degrees in these areas. Universities have different prerequisites and some have flexible entry requirements or offer external study. If you wish to work in the manufacturing industry, degree courses in industrial, manufacturing and production engineering may be relevant.
