Macquarie Legal Centre
Macquarie Legal Centre is a community legal centre that provides access to justice for low income earners living in the Western Sydney Region. Advice on employment law includes matters related to unfair dismissal, discrimination, Australian Workplace Agreements and
unpaid wages or entitlements.
The centre is open Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm and is located at Suite 302, Level 3, 107 Phillip Street, Parramatta NSW 2150. The Advice Line number is (02) 8833 0911, or you can visit the website at www.macquarieegal.org.alu.
Fair Work Ombudsman
The Fair Work Ombudsman provides legal advice to employees and employers, and helps them to understand their rights and obligations.For more information, call the Fair Work Infoline on 13 13 94. It is open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm. You can also visit the website at www.fairwork.gov.au.
Redfern Legal Centre
The Redfern Legal Centre (RLC) provides a general legal service to the community and often specialises in areas of law where particular need is demonstrated and where other legal services are unavailable or inadequate. Legal advice and assistance is provided to people and
organisations who:
• cannot afford a private lawyer
• cannot obtain adequate assistance from other legal aid services
• live or work in the RLC catchment area.
The centre’s opening hours are Monday to Thursday: 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm, and Friday: 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm. Advice sessions are available by appointment only. Face-to-face and telephone advice sessions are available Monday to Thursday
evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Limited daytime advice sessions are also available.

In many cases the centre will refer a matter to another legal aid body or a private lawyer and, where appropriate, to a welfare agency.
